Does character matter? What are virtues and are they relevant today? How might faith help or hinder one’s character formation? Theologian Dr. Ben Burkholder (PhD, Duquesne) spoke on the topic of the relevancy of virtue ethics for today, followed by audience Q&A.
Dr. Burkholder earned his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Duquesne University (Pittsburgh, PA) where he studied ethics, theology, and philosophy. At present, he lectures at La Roche University and Gannon University in the philosophy and religious studies departments. In addition, he has published several academic articles on virtue ethics, environmental ethics, and theology.
